A lot of concert halls use volunteers as ushers at performances to save money on the budget. These positions usually include passing out programs, helping customers find their seats, man the food/drink or souvenir counter, take tickets at the door, help direct parking traffic, and other important posts that might be out of the theater’s range. If you’ve ever fostered a love of the arts, this volunteer opportunity was made for you! Not only do you get free admission to operas, dance shows, musicals, plays, etc, you also get a “behind the curtain” look at what makes a theater work.
