Home Health Aides are extremely important in the development and recovery of patients in home health care. Aides tend to help people who are disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired as well as older adults who may need assistance or are in hospices and day programs with disabilities. Older men and women do well in this position because patients usually accept advice and care from an older individual. This position needs prior experience due to its nature, although some of the tasks are basic household jobs the patients can no longer perform.
